She's been with many of the top outlets across the globe. She covered football, basketball and Grand Slam Tennis for The Washington Post. In 2004, Nichols transferred to ESPN for a period of nine years during which she was awarded 2 Emmy Awards and appeared on some of the network's most watched programs, like SportsCenter as well as NFL Countdown. Also, she was a an integral part of ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts as reporter on the sidelines. Following her departure from ABC, her following destination was CNN and Turner Sports. This was the second occasion in the 42-year history of TBS that a woman was nominated out of more than 200 nominations.
