After their sophomore year at St. Andrews, Middleton and Prince William were roommates together with two students. At this time, Kate Middleton began to receive harassment from various media sources. It led to a myriad of individuals threatening legal prosecution against Kate Middleton as well the family members who were her attorney. In 2007, Kate and William broke up for reasons unknown. Though rumors began to circulate shortly afterwards, it was believed that they were back together.
